I wanted to provide an update to everyone on the status of OpenEats. The summer months have caused a slow down in development for I have been spending time enjoying the weather. However never fear, most of the major features of OpenEats are complete. The two major things that remain, are the installation wizard, and the Admin interface. We should be ready to release the first release candidate this fall.

The new release is out and sadly it does not include the meal planner. This is a bug fix, and enhancement release. Very little of this relase was actually done by me. This is the first release ever where I have not done 100% of the code. A user of OpenEats spent many hours/days working on patches to make OpenEats better and from his hard work spawned a new release.

It has been a long time since a new release has came out. I have moved from Ohio to North Carlonia and this has cause some disruption in my life and I have not been able to work on OpenEats as much as I would like. Also our primary server is down, since it is still in Ohio with most of my stuff. Once the house sells in Ohio and I get more settled in the project will be back running at 100%.
